PART IV / XIV
The tragedy of the military campaign slaughtering innocent children is known as the Massacre of the Innocents and is commemorated during the Feast of the Holy Innocents, after Christmas. Not separate from the time of Jesus’s birth, the Pharisees and Sadducees (priests and scribes) continued to accuse him, provoke him, attempt to trap him, and plot against him. There was no fault found against him, but they vehemently accused him, bearing false witness, and rallied members of the public against him during his ministry, leading to his crucifixion. His resurrection occurred three days later.
